Injustice

I’m tired of injustice, I hate it.
When you hurt one of us,
It angers me,
You hurt me!
When you kill a man/woman/child
You awaken my ancestors
They scream in pain and anger
Did they die for nothing?
All these years and we still being killed
For our skins
I hate injustice
The anger awakens my ancestors
I feel it in my blood
My soul
They fought and ran away from them
They died in their hands
And it’s still happening
I hate injustice
Our skin made of milk and honey.
You hate us.
We don’t care.
Just leave us alone.
Don’t put your hands on me.
I hate injustice
You took us from our land
To turn us into dust
In a land that’s not home.
I hate injustice
We vote, we vote, we try and keep trying
Nothing changes.
My ancestors are angry, why?
I tell them we trying!
Try harder
Fight harder
Be stronger
Be wiser
Be smarter
Than them.
Don’t let injustice win!

Africa Day

Today we celebrate the motherland continent

Birthplace to humanity.

I am proud to be African.

Half Mozambican

Half South African

My ancestors crossed oceans and fell in love

With this place.

Home is here

Home is where the heart is.

Africa is home

Africa is here.

I celebrate you everyday

Cause one day is not enough.

I love you, Africa.

Happy Africa Day
